Sugar Root Rum Jerk Spiced Glazed Nuts


 

 

 

One of my favorite snacks. Hope you enjoy the recipe!

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2-3 tsp jerk seasoning paste
  • 4 Tbs Sugar Root Rum
  • 2 cups assorted raw nuts of your choice
  • ( cashew, walnuts, almond, macadamia etc )

 

-Pre-heat oven to 350*

-Mix sugar, jerk and 2 tablespoons of Sugar Root Rum over med-high heat until it boils, stirring occasionally. Continue to heat until sugar appears melted – about 5 min.

-Pour in nuts, stir until coated. Add remaining Sugar Root Rum Stir continuously until syrup returns to a boil. Spoon nuts onto a parchment lined baking sheet.

-Bake at 350* 15-20 min. until bubbling stops and syrup appears dry.  Remove from oven and let sit on baking sheet until completely cooled. Break apart and store in an air tight container
